    One childhood author and book topic will be studied each session. Using verbal skills, children "write" their books by dictating as the teacher writes down their words. Typed pages are illustrated by the children using colorful markers. Instructors work one on one with the children assisting them in getting their verbal thoughts into novel form. Family and friends are invited to join us at our "Reading" as we share our completed "novels" prior to taking them home. Children take turns bringing a nut free snack and drink to share with classmates.

    YOGA AND SUPER HERO WORKSHOP
    This exciting one day workshop is a combination of Yoga and Superhero-themed activities. In the first hour, participants will enjoy superhero activities including wearing superhero party masks and temporary tattoos to dress up as a superhero, choosing their own superpowers and making superhero crafts. Then participants will enjoy a second hour of Yoga instruction where they will enhance their flexibility and strength and learn a variety of yoga poses, or mudras, while playing fun yoga games. Yoga mats will be provided. Participants should bring a water bottle. Younger children must be fully potty trained.

    620245 - LACROSSE-BOYS HOUSE-FALL

    BOYS HOUSE LACROSSE
    Beginners and experienced (Kindergarten - 8th grade)
    SESSION 1 (September 8 - October 20)
    SESSION 2 (November 3 - December 15 (No class 12/1)
    Focus will be on learning lacrosse skills in offense, defense and game strategies. Emphasis in scrimmages will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

    REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, lacrosse or hockey helmet with face guard; shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, and cup.
    STICK REQUIREMENT: STX Boys' Stallion 50 Lacrosse Stick (or similar stick-no fiddlesticks) at Dick's Sporting Goods. Use Dick's Everyday Coupon for 10% off (located on our website at www.wsprings.com/lacrosse).

    RENTAL EQUIPMENT - $55.00 (Code 520245 AS)
    A limited amount of rental equipment is available. Equipment must be returned after the last practice of the session. If you are renting for multiple sessions, a separate fee is charged for each session. Package includes stick, helmet, shoulder and elbows pads, and gloves.

    What’s the next adventure for Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione? You decide! We will create our own Harry Potter movie using special movie making cameras and software. As directors and producers, we will work in teams to create our own story and script, build various Harry Potter Lego® scenes and film our own movie. We will use graphic editing techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and show our movie at a private screening on the last day of class. All students will get a copy of their movie after class ends.

    The program's goal is to prepare all our players all year long by offering more advanced skills and development opportunities. Our experienced and gifted coaches will provide the tools and knowledge to develop each player to the highest level. Our philosophy is that positive motivation and encouragement will elevate players understanding of the game to a level appropriate for competitive games.

    Tournaments will be 2 of the following: Cow Tipper in Milwaukee, WI, Buffalo Brawl in Naperville, IL, and Edge of Ice in Dundee, IL. **BASE FEE INCLUDES coaches, fields, team supplies, administrative cost. There will be an additional fee for tournaments estimated at $200. All dates, fees and information for lacrosse are subject to change.

Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball in the style of tennis with some ping pong and badminton mixed in. Great exercise and a fun game. The instructor is a retired Physical Education teacher of 34 years and has 17 years of experience teaching pickleball. Equipment provided or bring your own.
