FALL GIRLS LACROSSE LEAGUE (1st-8th grade)
Note: Fee in book is incorrect: should be $189.00 R/NR
Be part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls from Chicago, north, northwest, west, and south suburbs. The goals of the program are to teach players understand of the rules; and to promote active teamwork and sportsmanship. We will foster personal development in a respectful environment-all led by positive coaching. IGLA is adopting the US Lacrosse "PLAYERS FIRST" ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT MODEL which means smaller fields and a smaller number of players. The girls become more engaged, get more touches on the ball, and further develop their skills.
First practice for all levels: Sunday, September 8, 1:00-2:30pm at Springdale Park, Western Springs.
IGLA offers two levels of league play. Both are recreational, community lacrosse. Pink teams practice once a week. Purple teams practice twice a week and may travel more for games. If considering Purple, players must first attend an assessment (visit iglax.org for dates and locations) where participants are assessed on stick skills and game play. Current Purple players do not need to attend an assessment and can register directly for the league.
LITTLE LAXER'S CLINIC (PreK-Kind)
Note: Ages in book are incorrect: should be PreK (4 years old) through Kindergarten.
Ready to start lacrosse? Join IGLA this fall for a weekly one hour clinic for the younger lacrosse player. The goals of this program are to introduce and develop basic skills for our youngest players using fun games and coaching techniques.
GIRLS LACROSSE WINTER CLINIC (K-8TH GRADE)
Indoor play is a different-but equally fun-experience from that of traditional outdoor lacrosse. The field is smaller and faster, and the walls are the boundaries. Indoor winter lacrosse is a perfect way to keep your skills intact between Fall and Spring, or to try the sport for the first time. IGLA Winter Camps & Clinics are designed for K-8th graders of all experience levels.
